Family group homes

Please note that this service is only available for children and young people who have been referred by the Department of Communities; Child Protection and Family Support.

Family Group Homes is an out-of-home care service which provides therapeutic care and support for children and young people who have experienced significant trauma and can no longer live with their families.

Our homes are staffed by full-time, live-in therapeutic carers who play a key role in providing a stable, safe and nurturing environment for up to four children or young people at a time.

We work as part of a care team with other professionals – and in some circumstances with the child’s family – to ensure the child’s needs are well understood and responded to at home, at school and in all other aspects of the child’s life.
