How to leave a gift in your Will to Uniting WA.

  1. Get in touch
    If you are considering including Uniting in your Will, we’d love to hear your story, learn about the intentions behind your gift and to thank you personally for your generosity.

  2. Speak with family members
    Let your loved ones know your wishes so they understand your intentions to leave a gift in your Will to Uniting WA. While it’s a personal decision, it is important that your loved ones understand your reasons to support people most in need.

  3. Seek legal advice
    You may wish to consult a qualified legal advisor to assist you match your intentions and ensure your Will is valid. Let your solicitor know about our suggested wording for your Will which is shown below.

  4. If you already have a Will
    If you already have a Will and would like to include a gift to Uniting WA all you need to do is contact your solicitor to add a ‘codicil’ to your Will, which is an amendment to your existing Will.

  5. Let us know your wishes
    Consider letting us know when you have finalised or updated your Will. We understand that planning your estate is a personal matter. However, we would be delighted to hear about your decision, so we can acknowledge you in your lifetime and understand your intentions.

and declare that the receipt by Uniting WA’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary, Director or General Manager (or equivalent role) shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee/s.
