Introducing RightByYou: A Mental Health Resource for Young People at Risk

Credit: Neami National

RightByYou is a recently launched website providing practical resources and information to help young people support a friend they think may be suicidal.

The website was developed in Perth for young people, by young people, with members of the Uniting WA team (Community Engagement Senior Manager, Annette Boyle and Digital Marketing Coordinator, Grace Annear) consulting on the project.

The website also provides information for people who identify as living with disability, parents, carers, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Neami National led the RightByYou project in collaboration with Imagined Futures, 20talk, DrawHistory, Headspace, Zero2Hero, Alt/Shift, The Wonder Co, Swan Youth Service and Uniting WA.

We want to thank Neami National for giving Uniting WA the opportunity to contribute to this important mental health resource for young Australians.

Suicide is the leading cause of death for young people 12-25. If you or a young person knows someone who needs support, remember that we’re RightByYou here: rightbyyou.org.au/

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health or suicidal thoughts, visit rightbyyou.org.au, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 224 636.
