Tranby Engagement Hub is a place of connection and hope for roughly 300 West Australians experiencing homelessness every day.

On average, there are 300 daily presentations at Tranby and up to 400 on some days.

What does that mean for someone experiencing homelessness?

It means we’re working to support as many people as possible. However, it can be challenging to find the time to connect with so many people and hear their stories – a vital part of the support that helps someone begin their journey out of homelessness.

About Tranby Engagement Hub

Tranby has been a safe haven and source of hope for those experiencing homelessness in Perth for over 20 years. About 5 years ago, we opened our doors 7 days a week and, to this day, Tranby is the only 365-day-a-year service in Perth committed to supporting the most vulnerable in our community.

For people who have spent the night sleeping rough on the street, Tranby is a welcoming place where you can get a home-cooked meal and a hot shower.

But it’s so much more…

You can collect your mail, check your email or charge your phone to stay connected. You can do your laundry to stay clean, warm and dry.  Critically, at Tranby you can talk to the team for support, access medical care or get legal support, counselling and advocacy services.

Every day, Uniting WA Support Workers help people sleeping rough address their challenges and move through their experience of homelessness at their own pace.  Our team work tirelessly to provide the support that helps people transition to safe and stable housing – our primary goal.

Tranby is more than just a service; it is a lifeline for those who have nowhere else to turn.

This includes exploring additional visiting services (like a vet for those with furry companions!) and upgrading our toasters to give more people access to breakfast, faster.

Together, we can make a difference and provide a brighter future for the most vulnerable members of our community.
